What are the guidelines for a safe password?
The safest passwords mix letters and numbers and do not contain your username or other personal information someone might be able to associate with you (no pet names, relatives, birth dates, postal codes, etc.). A minimum of eight characters total is recommended. Also, if possible, avoid using words found in a dictionary. One of the best ways to create a password is to make an acronym out of some phrase or song lyric you can easily remember. For example, "We all live in a yellow submarine" could be used as the basis for an acronym password by pulling out the first letter of each word, resulting in "waliays."
The technical guidelines are as follows:
Your password must be between 5 and fifteen characters, and can include any of the following:
1. Letters (a, b, c, etc.)
2. Numbers (1, 2, 3, etc.)
Passwords are case senstive.
